Information you provide

Comments and reviews

When you submit a comment or review, we collect your name, email address and the content you submit. Your displayed name and published comment or review are public. Your email address is not displayed as part of the comment or review.

We use these details to manage submissions, respond where appropriate and help prevent spam. We do not add comment or review email addresses to a marketing list. Please avoid putting sensitive information, private contact details or another person’s personal information in a public submission.

Private enquiries

The contact form asks for your name and email address and provides fields for a subject and message, along with a CAPTCHA check. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and the information in your message.

We use private enquiry details only to respond to enquiries, not for marketing or mailing lists. A private message is not permission to publish it as a review or testimonial. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers or unnecessary sensitive information.

Technical information and spam protection

The website’s comment, hosting and security systems can process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, referring pages and request times to deliver the website, detect spam and investigate security problems.

We use Akismet for comment spam filtering. Comment details and technical information, including an IP address and browser user-agent information, may be sent to that service for spam checks. The information involved depends on the submission and configuration. See Automattic’s visitor privacy notice and Akismet’s information about data processing and retention.

Wordfence is used to help protect the website. Its security features can process request information and IP addresses to identify suspicious activity. See Wordfence’s privacy policy for its handling of service data.

Avatars and cookies

Some avatar images can be supplied by Gravatar when a local image is not available. An identifier derived from an email address can be used to match an avatar; hashing an address does not make the identifier anonymous. Loading an external avatar also sends a request to that service. WordPress login features and security services can use cookies for authentication and protection. These features do not mean that every visitor receives every possible cookie. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect features that depend on them.

We do not use Google AdSense or another advertising network. Merely visiting this website is not treated by this policy as consent to marketing or optional tracking.

Performance measurement and external files

The website uses Cloudflare’s real-user monitoring (RUM) beacon to measure page performance. It sends information such as page addresses, referring pages and load timings to Cloudflare. Cloudflare states that this beacon does not use cookies or browser storage. See Cloudflare’s explanation of RUM data collection.

The website also loads fonts from Google Fonts and Bootstrap scripts from an external content-delivery network. Fetching these files sends a browser request to the external provider, which receives connection information such as your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy for its handling of information.

Affiliate links and other websites

QualityPsychic earns income through affiliate links. If you follow one of these links and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. A linked provider or affiliate service may process information about the referral or your visit under its own privacy policy.

Before giving information to another website, review its privacy policy and terms. This policy describes QualityPsychic’s practices, not every practice of a linked service. More information about our affiliate relationship is in the Legal Notice.

Who can process information

Information is handled by the website operator and services needed to run and protect the website, including hosting, email delivery, spam filtering and security services. Published comments and reviews can be read by other visitors.

We do not sell commenters’ names or email addresses to marketers or provide them to unrelated parties for marketing. Operational processing by the services described above is separate from publishing a comment. Information may also need to be disclosed where applicable law requires it.

Some service providers process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their linked privacy notices explain their processing and any transfer safeguards. This policy does not promise that all information stays in one country.

How long information is kept

Published comments and reviews and their associated names and email addresses are kept indefinitely unless deletion is requested. Private enquiries, including messages and email addresses, are also kept indefinitely unless deletion is requested.

Service providers may keep technical or spam-related information for different periods under their own policies. Those periods are separate from the records held for QualityPsychic.

Children’s information and security

QualityPsychic is a general-audience website and is not specifically directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information that needs attention, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

No online system can guarantee absolute security. Please limit the personal information you send and use the contact address below to raise a privacy concern.
