Chakras can get bogged down and that results in physical problems like a lack of energy as well as leaving you mentally and emotionally exhausted. A water wheel cleansing could be just the thing to get you back to where you want to be.

What Are Chakras?

Chakras are energy points in your body. Each controls a certain area of your life. When one is blocked, you may experience difficulties in that area.

Seven chakras are running from the crown of your head to the base of your spine. Here is a quick summary:

Root chakra – your base, family, what keeps you grounded

Sacral chakra – your sexuality and creativity

Solar plexus – deals with your confidence and control

Heart chakra – emotions and passion

Throat chakra – speaking and communication

Third Eye Chakra – deals with spirituality and intuition

Crown chakra – controls thinking

Any one of these can get blocked by negative experiences, toxic people, or internal conflicts. All need to be cleared from time to time and visualizing a water wheel is a good way to do that.

Why Use Visualization?

A visualization is a powerful tool, although many don’t know how to use it. It is something that takes some practice but visualizing clearing chakras will give you time to breathe, relax, and allow your chakras to work together better.

This exercise takes about 30 minutes. It should take place in a quiet area where there aren’t any distractions. Be prepared to struggle at first with concentration. That is normal. Visualization is easier once you relax.

Why Is a Water Wheel Used?

Water is important to cleansing for a variety of reasons. First, it is clear and has no impurities when it’s in its purest form. Second, it flows. Anything that flows is a cleanser because it washes away impurities.

Think back to early Christianity. Jesus constantly referred to water as life. Jesus said is the Living Water and was the well that never goes dry.

A water wheel, a giant wheel that turns water like what you would see on an old grist mill, constantly turns, moving water forward to create energy for the mill. That combination of water and a wheel becomes a good visualization to clear your chakras and move you forward in your spirit.

How Do You Use This Method?

First, appoint a time and place to do this exercise. allow at least 30 minutes. Sit comfortably in a chair, on a couch, or in a quiet place where you won’t need to move for a half-hour.

This exercise requires you to visualize the water as the color of the chakra you are working on to cleanse it. The root chakra is linked to red while the sacral is associated with orange. The solar plexus is linked to yellow and the heart is green. The throat is blue and the third eye is indigo while the crown chakra is linked with violet.

Close your eyes. Start at the base of your body with the root chakra. Visualize red water flowing and the water wheel turning the water. Allow your imagination to see the water rolling through the root chakra. See it flow all around it.

You will get a sense of peace, indicating it is time to move on. Do the same with each chakra. After you get to the crown chakra, start visualizing a rainbow of colors running through the water wheel. Allow the rainbow water to flow through your entire body, around all chakras.

Now, your chakras are fully cleansed. This is a good method to use if you want to clear away old issues that refuse to leave. The water wheel method will leave you at peace and feeling like you have it together.
